Home stay in Amantani Island in Lake Titikaka

Had a wonderful and enriching experience on Amantani Island. We spent the night with a local family. They are proud people who live a very simple life. We ate at their table, toured the island (more walking uphill) then in the evening went to the " disco tech". The family dressed us up in traditional clothing, ropa, and escorted us to the dance. Later that night we slept with a lizard in our room. The family took great care of us. The two youngest children were very engaging and playful. Their father Pedro lived with his mother and six children. It was a unique experience for sure. You realize how little one needs to be happy.
